Beyonce “Rise” Perfume Review and Photos
Launched in February 2014, Beyoncé launches her 7th perfume, Rise. Unlike previous fragrances Rise takes on more natural intimate characteristics.
“The composition is announced as intoxicating, addictive and luminous floral created by Loc Dong. Its opening notes include apricot, Italian bergamot and iced basil sorbet. The main note of the perfume is, of course, orchid and this time it is an orchid called “Golden Symphony”, which is mixed with freesia and Sambac jasmine flowers and placed at the base of the autumn woods, cashmere, musk and vetiver.”
Overall I think ladies that found Heat to be too spicy will fare better with Rise ($30-$39). It still has woodsy notes but it’s more youthful, warm, and can easily be loved from both young and old. I found it to be pleasantly neutral in that aspect. There’s something sweet… well that something is apricot and a feeling of comfort from cashmere wood notes. I don’t want to minimize how much I love it but I actually wouldn’t mind if fabric softener or room spray had this scent. Once on my skin it takes a couple of minutes for the bergamot notes to dissipate which I love because I don’t really need it with this perfume. But the dry downs are warm cashmere, orchid and freesia and I only replay midday although it isn’t needed. It actually makes for a great autumn day wear perfume for the office and most casual settings. Happy to see something different was done this time around. Can’t wait to see what Beyoncé gives us with the new Heat Wild Orchid that’s being released soon but I would like to see her do a signature scent in a black matte bottle with pink writing like the album font. I don’t think I’m asking for much.
