It’s hard not to love this palette. As you guys know I live for matte eyeshadows and this palette has 8 matte shades all placed on the top row next to one another. I’m a real grab-and-get-to-work girl when it comes to my makeup and having all finishes together save me from doing the brush glide dance. You know when we try to figure out what shade we just use the end of the brush and go left to right trying to figure out life? It’s one of the things that annoys me with the Naked palettes, I want all my finishes together. I also love the matte shades in this palette because I love that Evelyn Lozado look wear its a stark cream or light pink then goes into a soft brown smokey eye with a wing. I can do variations of that look forever and die a happy girl. Sometimes it just makes the eyes look bigger and I love it.
Although I’m not big on shimmer shades the bottom row consist of only 2 shimmer shades (Nude and Champagne) and the rest are metallic. These are well pigmented easy to work with metallic finishes. Metallic finishes can really give a regular look a lot of dimension and glam it up. Even if you do a pop in the inner corner or use it as an eyeliner.
This is my top recommended palette for makeup lovers and makeup artists alike. It feels like Lorac wanted to create a palette with amateurs and pros in mind and took everything one may have complained about when it came other neutral palettes and gave the people what they wanted. The packaging is a matte finish cardboard which i like because I find it to be lighter than a bunch of plastic and colors are less likely to break when dropped since it has a bit of a cushion. I think the price point is really good and it’s just as affordable if not more affordable than many on the market. It comes with a mini eyeshadow primer. You can’t beat that!
