Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Conditioning Leave-in Mist ($22.00/ 8.5 fl oz) is described as “both a detangler and protector, this lightweight spray nourishes with macadamia oil and quinoa extract, while argan oil and silk amino acids help strengthen to protect breakage.”

I have fine thin naturally curly hair so finding a weightless leave-in spray conditioner that I love is extremely rare.  I found a couple I like and even those have their drawbacks such as causing my scalp to itch (presumably because of the aloe) and some contain too much glycerin and I can’t control frizz.  I’ve been using this Weightless Moisture Conditioning Leave-in Mist nonstop since coming out of a weave.  Typically it can take my hair 1-2 two weeks to get back to normal and within 2 days it was back to being hydrated, moisturized, and super soft…. even before I deep conditioned and trimmed by ends.  Since I keep my hair in a bun during the week I make sure I use this daily to make sure the center doesn’t get dry (which causes breakage) and keep my hair nourished.  Since it’s so light it doesn’t make my hair mushy and over moisturized. The sprayer actually does create a fine mist which I have a love/ hate relationship with.  It keeps me mindful of overusing product but sometimes I need and want more product.

Macadamia Professional Blow Dry Lotion ($24.00/ 6.7 oz) is described as “ a lightweight lotion that gives a smooth silky finish with heat protection. Provides thermal and UV protection plus humidity control. Keeps hair hydrated w/no fly aways.”

I’ve used my fairshare of blow dry creams and they all cut down on drying time and frizz.  Although my hair is fine and thin since it’s always so hydrated it takes forever to dry.  But the frizz is horrible and my hair just loves to curl back up.  My hair was feeling so good while I was applying the product that I didn’t want to blow dry my hair but my ends had to be clipped so I continued on.  It did cut down on the time and frizz (absolutely no flaking). The next day while out on a morning run I started to sweat [all in my scalp] and my hair still didn’t get frizzy but I could feel the product seemingly to rehydrate my hair.  I don’t see this as a bad thing in fact it’s making me think even more that this might actually work as a leave-in.  It has UV protection so it’s something I would reach for when I know I’ll be out in the sun but will also help cut down on hydra fatigue of my fine coils.  This week I’ll be testing my theory so be on the look out for that post.
