OPI Brights Collection 2015 Review and Swatches
I’m working on swatches for 12-piece massive OPI Hawaii Collection this weekend but in the meantime we have *drum-roll please… queues “Summertime” by Will Smith* OPI Brights Collection 2015!
My Car Has Navy-gation – I’m not fond of the name because I know once I wear this blackened inky blurple people are going to ask about it and it just doesn’t roll off the tongue. You can never go wrong with a color like this and it pairs well with all skin tones. The formula isn’t perfect but it’s far from bad.
The Berry Thought of You – A lovely bright pink cream with berry tones. Love love love!
I STOP For Red – Another bright semi opaque poppy red. If you need a red with orange tones this will be a good one for the summer. But I kind of feel like if you’ve been reading the blog for a while then you most likely own a few.
I Sea You Wear OPI – This is the only metallic shimmer aqua blue color that’s ever worked with my skin tone. They tend to wash me out and age my hands. It could be in my head but I always skip them for this reason. This shade took 3 coats but so worth it.
I Can’t Hear Myself Pink! – In the nicest way possible I can only describe this color as being not cute. The metallic frost yellow toned pink just doesn’t do it for me and I’m not sure who it would look nice on.
Pinks & Needles – This might be the year for matte glitters for major polish brands (although this is something the indie polish world has been doing for years) but OPI did a great job despite the photo not being as good as it should have been. The clear base has tiny matte pink glitter with matte pink hex glitter. The formula was easy to apply and instead of wearing it alone wear it as a top coat to really make it pop.
